Dear colleagues!

We invite you to participate in the 5th International Scientific Conference «Arctic: history and modernity» which will be held on March 18-19, 2020

The aim of the Conference is the formation of an international interdisciplinary platform for discussion of a wide range of issues related to the Arctic region and creation of a balanced picture of the Russian Arctic policy.

We invite the representatives of public, natural, military and technical sciences to cooperate.

A youth section is planned at the conference. Students, graduate students and young scientists are welcome to participate.

  • International round table meeting «Modern Problems of Arctic»

International round table meeting «Modern Problems of Arctic» will be held in Saint-Petersburg Polytechnical University on the 25th of June 2020 organised by Department of Social sciences, Institute of Humanities. It is the second important scientific event on problems of Arctic development this year, and within period of pandemic it is held in a remote format.

Researches and specialists from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Murmansk, Vladivostok and other scientific centers are going to take part in discussions. Results will be available both in electronic and printed format.

Publication fee

The publication fee includes: papers preparation for publication, conference materials

To publisher it is necessary to send Full Paper and the signed by the authors agreement on open publication to the address: arctic@spbstu.ru

Materials of the Conference RSCI database

According to the results of the Conference, we’re planning to publish a collection of materials, which will be indexed in the scientometric RSCI database.

Materials will also be posted on the website of SPbPU of Peter the Great.

Call for Papers

Materials of reports are accepted in English in the doc., format, volume up to 8 pages

Materials are provided in ENGLISH and must contain original research results and to conform to the conference topics

All works will be peer-reviewed
